Credit-Rating invites to a luncheon

Credit-Rating agency has always been improving and developing its communication environment with its customers. In line with this, CR holds seminars, press-conferences and other events on a regular basis. Credit-Rating has also developed a new format of communication a business luncheon highlighted as Credit rating as an efficient attractor for investments to business development. This event hosted representatives from over 30 companies and institutions, including top managers of Dnepropetrovsk-based banks, insurance companies, industrial enterprises, construction firms, commercial networks, and asset management companies. This has shown the agency`s correct approach with regard to the event`s format and met the agency`s expectations for high interest to the said topic.

The name of the event reflects its aim. Guests are provided with in-depth information on the advantages of credit ratings and the opportunities for the attraction of investments. The agency`s management have presented Credit-Rating`s milestones, explained how to create a rating history and a positive track record for further entering capital markets. The principal thesis, which has been repeatedly presented in speeches of Stanislav Dubko, Credit-Rating`s CEO, and of Marina Protsenko, head for agency`s department of information and communication is the fact that a high credit rating empowers the rating`s bearer to attract cheaper investment funds on more favorable terms. In the course of the discussions there have been considered major ways to attract less expensive funds by firms for financing their activities, and the practical aspects of credit ratings for attracting investments to develop their   businesses. The agency`s management have answered questions concerning increasing cooperation between the agency and its customers.

Today`s realities of market economy development exhibit new evolving tendencies in fact, investors may be attracted to companies, which have not only a high rating, but a long rating history. According to Stanislav Dubko `credit rating is a live indicator of company`s performance, which allows it to show its creditworthiness to the market`.

We believe that bearing a high investment-grade rating is of great importance for a firm, Yakov Staikin, the Chairman of Pritchernomorye Bank`s Board said at press-lunch in Dnepropetrovsk, in our activities we pay a great amount of our attention to a lender`s rating and its financial reputation. This opinion is subscribed by Dmitry Levchenko, the deputy manager of Dnepropetrovsk-based Ukreximbank`s branch, who considers a credit rating to be a `positive factor in customer`. It should be noted that Ukreximbank is the only financial institution in Ukraine whose credit rating is higher than the sovereign rating.

Andrei Khomenko, the head of Dneprinmed insurance company`s financial department has raised a rather important question on the use of banks` credit ratings by insurance companies. As it is known, the regulator requires insurance companies to place their funds with banks, which bear high investment-grade ratings.

The luncheon`s participants have traditionally discussed development of Ukraine`s rating market, confidence towards rating agencies, and Credit-Rating`s plans on entering Russia`s and Kazakhstan`s markets.
