On June 24 the city of Odessa will host a conference Ukrainian Cities Entering Financial Markets

Authorized Rating Agency «Credit-Rating», Odessa City Council and OJSC CB “Khreschatik” will hold Conference «Entrance of Ukrainian cities on the financial markets» in Odessa on June 24, 2005 devoted to the problems of attraction of debt funds in local budgets. The representatives of the large and medium Ukrainian cities being the potential participants of the financial market are invited to participate in the conference.
The representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers Ukraine, Ministry of Finance of Ukraine, State Commission for Securities and Stock Market make a speech at the conference as well as The Pragma Corporation - the American company which is developing the program of municipal bond market development assistance in Ukraine by USAID’s initiative. Besides, the participation of representatives of municipalities which have already made borrowings - Kiev, Donetsk, Zaporozhia, Odessa, Kharkov Yuzhny is planned in the conference.
The problems touching the choice of instruments of fund attraction (issue of bonds, credit), optimization of charges, use of credit ratings, effective organization of process of borrowings taking into account the requirements of current legislation and existent experience of borrowers will be discussed at the conference.
