The Rating Agency «IBI-Rating» and the Rating Agency «Credit-Rating» announced their merger
Today, December 30, 2025, the
Rating Agency «IBI-Rating» and the Rating Agency «Credit-Rating» announced their merger.
Both companies hold the status of authorized rating agencies of the National Securities
and Stock Market Commission of Ukraine and conduct credit rating activities using the
National Rating Scale. The merger will take place on the basis of the
agency «IBI-Rating»
(Certificate of entry into the State Register of
Authorized Rating Agencies No. 3 dated April 12, 2010), which will continue to be headed
by its current Director, Oleksandr Kalashnykov.
The analytical teams of the two rating agencies will be merged, and the rating methodology used will be unified. Credit ratings previously assigned by the agency «Credit-Rating» will be verified and confirmed by the agency «IBI-Rating».
Director of «IBI-Rating» Oleksandr Kalashnykov stated: «The strategy of the combined company will be aimed at ensuring leadership, first and foremost, in the quality and objectivity of rating research, providing investors with the opportunity to assess risks when making investment decisions in Ukraine. From today, the rating agency «IBI-Rating» becomes the only agency in Ukraine that provides a full range of services for assessing the creditworthiness of Ukrainian enterprises, financial institutions, and municipalities, as well as other related services such as determining investment attractiveness ratings, investment passports for territorial communities, and more».
Director of «Credit-Rating» Marina Protsenko noted: «Over more than 24 years of activity in the Ukrainian market, the agency «Credit-Rating», as the first specialized rating agency in Ukraine, has assigned more than 1,270 credit ratings, including over 900 in the corporate sector, 284 in the financial sector, and 83 in the municipal sector. The specialists of the analytical team have experience in projects of international organizations: with NEFCO on the implementation of investment projects in Ukrainian cities and the provision of grants; with IFC in the field of improving the financial literacy of commercial banks in municipal finance. Organizations such as USAID and KfW have used the agency’s services, which testifies to the high assessment of the quality of the agency’s services by international institutions. We are now pleased to join forces with the agency «IBI-Rating», whose activities correspond to our understanding of high standards of quality in rating analysis».
The merged rating agency intends to adhere to international principles and national rules of rating activity, guarantee transparency of rating procedures and applied methodologies, and ensure a high level of responsibility to clients and users of rating assessments.
