Ukraine consumes considerable volumes of natural gas, although the natural gas produced in the country covers only one third of the needs - this make Ukraine energy-dependent. The country produces over 20 billion cubic meters of gas, with its consumption being at 60 (Table1). Due to Ukraine's geographical position, the natural gas is transported into European countries.
